Henriella Booth

Henriella Booth, 91 of Tyrone, Oklahoma passed away December 13, 2023, at Wheatridge Park in Liberal, Kansas.

Henriella was born February 18, 1932, on a farm near Tyrone, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Henry and Ellaveda Mires Lasswell. She attended school in Hooker and Tyrone graduating from Tyrone High School with the Class of 1950.

She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Lee Booth. She was a wife and mother and created a home for her family.

She was a member of the Tyrone Baptist Church where she sang both solos and in the choir. She taught Bible School and was on many committees.

Henriella later went to work for Beechcraft from 1968 to 1982, was a member of the Golden “B”, a past Noble Grand of Rebecca Lodge, Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and served on Advisory board at Guymon Memorial Hospital for four years and was a member of Tyrone Senior Citizens. She loved to paint and do crafts, gave lessons, painted for herself, family and friends.

Her Lord, husband and children always came first. Bob told someone which was Alta Rogers, that when he died, he wanted to come back as one of Henriella’s grandchildren. She later was blessed with great-grandchildren who she loved and spoiled.

She was a fan of OU football, Bob watched in the family room, while she watched in the kitchen which caused her children to laugh to see how excited she was in seeing her grandchildren play. Friends and family would say be careful when you set by her, she might grab and shake you.

Henriella is preceded in death by her husband Robert Booth and daughter, Cyntha Ella Wood.

Survivors include her daughter Vickie Kathryn Booth of Wichita, Kansas, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandson, Dear nephews, Lonnie Bailey, and Dick Bailey.

Vickie has had leader dogs, Daisy, Bailey, Keller and Koby. Al and Tanya Rivera, our next-door neighbors, have been very dear to us and helped us so much and taken care of us, they are like family. Jeretta Dietrick, my niece, has helped Bob and me so much. They checked on us, took us places, brought food and went to the hospital with me.

Memorials are suggested to the Tyrone Cemetery and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Tyrone Baptist Church with Bob Hayes officiating. Interment will be in the Tyrone Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
