Austin Arnold Obituary

Austin James Arnold, the most beautiful, pure, kind, and gentle soul ever, was born May 7, 1992 to Greg and Jamie Arnold in Stillwater, OK and departed this earthly strife on March 13, 2024 at Hooker, OK. He became a baptized child of God in June 1992, and in this solace we rest. The family moved to Woodward, OK where he gained his first little brother Luke, and then later to St. Johnsbury, VT where he gained his 2 nd little brother Grayson. Austin was a good big brother, always helpful and patient.

Early on as a child, it became apparent Austin was quite brilliant, picking out a trapezoid shape in the world from all the books his mother read to him; and he enjoyed looking at his dad’s engineering diagrams by the age of 3. He could build anything from legos, could assemble and re-assemble any engine, and was a talented artist. When the family moved to Wylie, TX, he would shoot baskets while on his roller blades and enjoyed playing with his many friends in the neighborhood. The family moved to Hooker in August 2006, and Austin became a confirmed member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in April 2007. He graduated high school in 2010 and participated in basketball, track, ag, and art. He had many good friends and classmates at HHS who will cherish their memories of him. Austin later received a degree in auto mechanics from Seward County in 2013 and an Information Technologies degree from OPSU in 2018.

Austin began farming for his grandad in 2007 and continued until his last day. He was the family animal whisperer and fix-it man. He could and would do anything to help anyone. He was a man of few words and dry humor but had a brilliant wit and perfectly timed response that would leave people laughing for days. In his spare time he enjoyed being with his girlfriend Destiny and playing board games and video games.

Utterly heartbroken and left to mourn his passing are his parents Greg and Jamie Arnold; brothers Luke Arnold and fiancee’ Kurstyn, and Grayson Arnold; paternal grandparents Tom and Vickie Arnold and maternal grandparents Patrick and Prudence Bourk; Aunt Valerie Howell and husband Scott and children Heath and Hadley; Uncle Wade Arnold and wife Andrea and children Jackson, Wyatt, and Miles; Uncle John Patrick Bourk and wife Remington and children Dylan, Patrick, and Tayla; special lifelong friends the O’Leary family Brent, Tina, Chandler, Chad, and Hannah; and a host of other extended family and friends.
